All about the Food - From South Korea to Tokyo, Mochi in Hakone to Kyoto Street Food this is everything and everything you could want.
South Korea - Convenience Stores, Budae Jigae and Korean BBQ
Street Food in Myeongdong, South Korea
Next were the Icheon convenience stores - every snack was something I wanted to try, cherry blossom coke and triangle rice sushi. Fast food places and bakeries from Paris - culture shock in South Korea.

After taking the free tourist shuttle bus to the city - not a scam but a great value to see Gyeongbakong Palace and Namadawm market, we ventured of to see Myeongdong and Insadong market.

Everything was new! So every alleyway was a photography - how do you distinguish what’s real and tourist trap and authentic foods? No yelp but TripAdvisor. We toured restaurants, ended up at Johnson to try BudaeJigae, right when they opened, and toured the various markets.

Strange realization to know you’ve had great Korean BBQ in LA - to be disappointed in the joint you visit in South Korea.
Tokyo - Fuunji Ramen, Dominque Ansel (Cronut Creator) and Takoyaki
Toasted Smores in Tokyo from the creator of the Cronut - deliciously frozen on the inside
Ginza Takoyaki
Food after we walked from Ginza shopping - had Dominique Ansels burnt frozen smore - tasted like marshmallow and cereal - and then some Gyoza. I learned that I’ve had such great food that even in Japan I still had high bar - very simple and easy to go place though.
After walking more to get Boba and Takoyaki- we returned to go to shibuya crossing
Local convenience stores - Boba to go! Tasted pretty crappy
Every corner has endless food posters - overwhelming advertising!
Gion Area - Kyoto
Street food on our way to Gion - Omelets? Something more delicious.
Inspired by Strictly Dumping in Kyoto - Nishiki Market
These were all the rage? Have an egg inside the head?
Everything fish paste covered. Everything.
Mochi!
Yes. That Mochi
A love for Takoyaki - outside Fushishim Gates in Kyoto - Street Food Market
And yes. That Market from Dreams of Jiro Sushi
The Freshest Tuna - right off the chopping block
Top it off with dessert at Lotteria Bakery near Ueno Park, Tokyo
Happy Pandas!
